I love the pure white backdrop .....a mix of rustic decadenceFirst published in Country Homes and Interiors, December 2005
Imagine the extravagance of a chandelier hanging from a tree in the garden, something quite magical!
I cannot resist anything light reflecting and transparent, we have another chandelier in at No21..... I am finding it difficult to resist putting it in our kitchen! hanging on an rustic beam.
Headboards have now become desirable and you can be inventive, this image shows a gorgeous gilded and padded silk version in a pale plaster pink
No21 is featuring talented ceramic artist Joanna Lucksted Joanna was inspired by studying carved marble sculptures of Bishops, prominent clergy in Wells Cathedral and figurative chess sets. Pawns have become guardians or angels and the Bishop has lent itself to becoming an Archangel.
Each Angel is sculpted to give them individual features and 'personality' they are made from white earthenware and aged using manganese dioxide and transparent glaze, in the third firing metal lustre’s or on-glaze enamel colour is applied.
Love the plaster pink tones with the gilded furniture
It is unusual to find eight matching chairs in good condition, all with original finials..... thought to be 1950's French, Georgian influence. Re-covered in a corn gold woven fabric complementing the subtle gold paintwork.
New 18th Century style by British Interior designer, Blahnaid Behan for Le Pavillon St Lambert in the mountainous Luberon area in France.
Love the decadence of this hotel bedroom (Ismail room) at the ZamZam-Riad in the Medina of Marrakech
Love the mauve/pink tint to this limed oak cabinet
Pale to mid grey with mauve tones..... a palette to inspire bedroom interiors
Chandeliers work wonderfully with a soft neutral colour palette
Due to the depth of this cupboard it would also convert to a great bathroom or bedroom sink unit with perhaps a free standing bowl. 74cm wide 56cm deep 93cm high
