Glass Domes

Having spent the early days of my career as a footwear designer I will always have a passion for shoes, hence my collection of Antique beaded examples in earlier posts. I shared this photograph in 2009 but I want to run several posts finding out what to put glass domes. In the Victorian days birds and flowers were popular, now there are many more creative ideas

No21 Madonna Scene (Sold)

At No21 we love to collect eclectic pieces. We believe this plasterwork of a Madonna scene came from a church or a large hall, it is wonderfully detailed.
We believe that religious objet d'art will be a strong trend in a few years and all that has a spiritual content. Some evidence of this trend has started in the vintage market. You don't have to be religious to be calmed by such works of art.

Please take a look at INSPIRE where I report on trends in design that will define the seasons ahead.

No21 Small metal Buddha £22 (sold)

Religious or not religious there is something calming about a Buddha. I have enclosed this image to reflect on the calm before the storm ...the storm being Christmas. Christmas preparation has started early for us this year now that we have No21. I am sure my next image will reflect the spirit of Christmas.
